Scalping

Back to Glossary

Scalping is a short-term strategy that involves opening and closing trades at tiny intervals in order to profit from small movements in price. Scalpers will typically place dozens, or even hundreds of trades per day. Many algorithmic traders use scalping strategies as their trading bots have a natural advantage over human traders in this respect.
