Risk Aversion

Back to Glossary

Risk aversion is the opposite of risk appetite. It refers to investors who are not prepared to take risks with their capital and so build portfolios that are relatively more conservative. A risk averse investor may choose to focus their capital on fixed-income investments like bonds, rather than making speculative investments on the stock market.
