NFP (Non-Farm Payroll)Back to Glossary
Non-farm payroll is one of the most traded economic indicators coming out of the US economy. It is released on the first Friday of every month and reports on changes in employment without taking farm workers, government employees, and non-profit organizations into account. Each report refers to the previous month’s employment change and is known to generate a great deal of volatility in dollar markets. As such it is considered a highly tradable event.
