BrokerageBack to Glossary
A brokerage is a person or institution that acts as a middleman between traders/investors and liquidity providers. Brokerages maintain credit relationships with larger financial institutions and are able to buy and sell large volumes of assets with them. They then sell this liquidity on to smaller institutions and individual traders, acting as a go-between and earning commission fees in return for providing this service.
